Annie asks why Dr. Nanji is using her reading glasses. He says they are more powerful. He remarks that she has others, almost as though he was suggesting she could use another of her pairs of glasses, neglecting to remember she won’t be using any of the glasses.
The recordings were created over years using primitive reel-to-reel tape recordings, so the quality of the recordings varies.

Annie: What were you doing with my reading glasses?
Dinshaw: I have them, Darling.
Annie: I know you have them.
Dinshaw: Yes, I have them. And, uh, I have used them because they are [unknown word] and powerful, mine. You have several others.
Annie: I know, and I bought a new pair not very before long I come over.
